Monthly Steps

Step 1 (July '10): 6" square (finished size)
Step 2 (Aug '10): add a piece 4x6" to the lefthand side of your starter block (or the right-hand side, if you prefer)
Step 3 (Sept '10): add a strip 10x3" (finished size) to the top of your previous two blocks. Alternatively, you could add it to the bottom.
Step 4 (Oct '10): add a piece 3x9" to the lefthand side of your previous blocks (or the right-hand side, if you prefer)
Step 5 (Nov '10): add two pieces, 4x6" and 4x7" to the top of the previous blocks (or the bottom, if you'd rather)
Step 6 (Dec '10): add two pieces, 3x9" and 3x4"to the left hand side of your previous blocks (or the right-hand side, if you prefer)
Step 7 (Jan '11): add three pieces - 5x5, 5x6 and 5x5 to the bottom of the previous blocks (or, if you prefer, to the top)
Step 8 (Feb '11): Applique or embroidery something on your top
Step 9 (Mar '11): Embroider or applique something on your top
Step 10 (Apr '11): If you are going to embellish later, QUILT your piece. Otherwise either applique or embroider something or take the month off.
Step 11 (May '11): If you quilted last month, then it's time to embellish. Otherwise, quilt your quilt!
Step 12 (June '11): Sleeve and bind your quilt!
